Marjorie Jenden (1927-2005) was a much loved and respected netball administrator influential in Wellington, Kapiti and Kapi Mana netball centres particularly as an umpire in her early netball career.  Marjorie Jenden gave her time to preside over both Wellington and Kapi Mana centres, hold governance roles with the New Zealand Netball Association in the 1970s and further became Vice President of the sport's governing body, International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA now known as World Netball) from 1975 to 1983.

This 2-day annual event is hosted on a rotational basis by four of the five Wellington Region Combined Centres - Netball Wellington Centre, Netball Kapiti, Kapi Mana Netball Centre and Netball Wairarapa (excluding Netball Hutt Valley whose rep teams are administered by Hutt Valley Secondary Schools Netball).  The tournament is traditionally timed for King's Birthday Weekend. While honouring the memory of Marjorie Jenden, the tournament marks the first foray into tournament game play for newly formed Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 representative teams as they begin their build-up to giving a strong show at final championships in July.

Each team must provide their own accompanying umpire.
If not able, please advise and we'll attempt to assist.

In 2018 as part of our Centre's centenary celebrations, we proudly named one of our representative events in honour of our Netball Wellington Centre long-serving Life Member Dale Wortman whose extensive volunteer services to netball span well over 70 years. Dale Wortman has been passionately involved in netball at all levels including as club & representative player, coach, selector, umpire, examiner of umpires, plus club & centre administration as President, Vice President and Secretary. In this time she gained regional and national level honours. This event in her honour aims to provide an opportunity for upcoming U18 rep players to gain valuable game experience against a wider pool of competitive teams in preparation for representing well at National Champs in July.

If travelling to attend and wishing to request a later start time/early departure time please advise as soon as able and we shall do our best to accommodate in the draw.

Each team must provide their own accompanying umpire.
If not able, please advise and we'll attempt to assist.

Please capture all team officials, players and umpire details on the online registration form.  Include umpire name and qualifications to assist us with allocating umpires to games.  Please edit original expression of interest by Friday 16 June.
