Netball Central Zone oversees the promotion, development and growth of netball in the region.  The Zone encompasses Hawkes Bay, Manawatu-Whanganui, Taranaki and the Wellington region.  Along with 13 netball centres we work together to actively promote and encourage participation in netball. 

The National League was launched in April 2016 and is the second tier of our national, domestic netball competition.   It is fundamental to strengthening Netball New Zealand's performance pathway, to the development of our talented athletes and to the competitiveness of Netball New Zealand's elite teams.

The Central Manawa Team is an important part of Netball Central Zone's High Performance pathway. It is the team to which sub-elite netballers in the Central Zone aspire and where they begin to make a claim for a contracted position within the Pulse. 

We are currently seeking Assistant and Apprentice Coach/es for our Central Manawa National Netball League Team for the 2022 season.

Netball Central Zone's (NCZ) performance vision is to become the pre-eminent Zone in the country.  To date our success has been as a result of the excellent coaching that our teams have enjoyed.  NCZ is committed to ongoing excellence in coaching across our teams and therefore, in 2022, we will pay greater attention to succession planning to assure our coaching future.  

In 2022 we will be more active in building a pool of coaches with the game knowledge, experience, capability and desire to one day step into the ANZ Premiership role.  To do so we need to grow the opportunities available to the tier of coaches below our two Head Coaches.  We will achieve this by appointing up to two Central Manawa Assistant Coaches and up to two Central Manawa Apprentice Coaches. 

We are seeking interest from interested and suitably experienced coaches to interview and appoint to the above position/s.  The current incumbents are welcome to reapply.
