This venue is owned by Netball Wellington Centre and positioned in an easily accessible location with plentiful onsite parking within Hataitai Park, 43 Ruahine Street, Hataitai, Wellington.

Our venue offers a variety of multi-purpose spaces to enjoy:

a large main upstairs area seating up to 150 people (200 standing)
an upstairs boardroom comfortably accommodating up to 20 people
an upstairs terraced viewing gallery seating up to 100 people
a small upstairs photo gallery able to accommodate up to 10 people
a downstairs games room suitable for up to 20 people with kitchenette
a small upstairs control room overlooking courts - includes microphone, timer & hooter access and seats up to 6 people
Modern full-size semi-commercial kitchen

Flexible options perfect for a variety of uses include:

small gatherings, board or committee meetings
AGMs or prize-givings
Workshops, planning days or team-building

Upstairs area welcomes furniture to be rearranged and decorated to your desire.

Additional break-out areas may be used in conjunction with main upstairs room hire.

Assorted tables & chairs enable room set-up to suit your needs: 5 x trestle tables (seat up to 8 each), 2 large circle tables (seat up to 8 each), 3 small circle tables (seat up to 5 each) with 50 matching chairs. Additional items may be sourced/hired upon request.

Downstairs area wheelchair accessible. Stair access to upper level (no internal lift).

Please note:

Maximum capacity of 150 seated/200 standing within the venue at any one time.
This venue does not hold a liquor license. Users would need to apply to the Wellington City Council and have a licensed bar manager on site.
Access to Hataitai Park surrounds is restricted after 10pm. Bollards automatically raise on the roadway leading up to the sports grounds. Cars hoping to gain access into or out of the area after this time are required to ring the Council via the number provided on signage at the entrance and are asked to provide vehicle licence plate details over the phone prior to being granted access.
We ask that hirers please clean-up afterwards and leave the venue exactly as you found it (cleaning equipment/rubbihs bags provided) ie

- remove all rubbish and leave by outside bins
- wipe down all used surfaces
- wash and dry used dishes/cutlery
- vacuum/mop floors
- return furniture to original place

Wellington City Council adminster court bookings and lighting for all Hataitai courts throughout the year.

Please note:

Monday night court availability between September and March will be dependant on Twilight Competition court usage. During these months the Council set-up tennis nets so any netball court requests will be subject to availability and need to be directed to the Wellington City Council.

An event permit is required where activities extend beyond standard use of the sportsfield. This includes (but not limited to):

Gazebos or marquees
Inflatables or temporary structures
Food trucks or vendors
Vehicles accessing or being parked on the park
Access through locked or secured gates (requiring key access)
Any event setup that may impact the wider park or public use

If planning any of the above as part of your activity, apply for an event permit in addition to your sportsfield booking to ensure appropriate approvals, health & safety, and park protections are in place.Power and water are not available for use unless prior permission has been granted.
