As of Saturday 8 May 2021, Netball Wellington Centre's Saturday Winter Competition will embrace an online team registration and scoring app called Game Day supported by Sporty.
To assist with getting all of our netball community up to speed with how this new process works, Zoom links are now available for training about this new game day app faciliated by Sporty.
The change affects all team managers, coaches, scorers and umpires. Please share links accordingly.
Ideally anyone involved in the above roles should attend at least one training session given they will be most affected by the Game Day App. If unable to attend tonight’s webinar, a page on our website explaining how the app works is available via this link.

As it is our first run with the Game Day App, for week one only (Saturday 8 May) we will still have paper scorecards available as a backup should anything go wrong with the app.
Online team player registrations should be completed before sign-in at the Sport Control Desk (ASBSC) or Games Office (Hataitai).
On the day, all managers are asked to let our front staff know that their team is present on the day.
Player umpires still have to sign-in as usual and will be provided a scorecard this week only to be used IF something goes wrong with the app during their game.

Clubs/Schools with more than 10 teams - NWC shall send you the team codes for all teams if you grant us access to your Sporty system.
Clubs/Schools with less than 10 teams or who haven’t given us access will need to pull the team codes for each of your teams individually. This can be completed by anyone who has access to your system. Links to user guides feature below.
Key Questions & Answers:
1. When are clubs and school contacts expected to be sent the team codes for all teams?
If club/school admins login into their site and enter TeamBuilder team codes can be viewed. We are exploring the ability to export team codes en masse from TeamBuilder. In the interim click into each team to see the "Scorer Code" in the bottom right hand corner beside the green "Save & Close" button.
2. Can more than one person log into the same team at the same time to keep score e.g. coach, manager and scorer?
No. There should be one designated person on the day who is the scorer. Duties can still be split eg, coach submits the online team sheet and manager keeps score. Essentially one designated individual per team must keep score on the day.
3. Will team managers/coaches/scorers still have to log in with an email and passcode before entering their team codes? I saw in our app, people are still required to login with an email & passcode, or register, then the team code option shows after this. Will all the team managers, etc. have to register on the app before Saturday too?
The process has been made easier so a new video will be created. Sporty have created two new user guides - 'How to become a team scorer' and 'How to generate team scorer codes' and are completing the Login video to explain this new method.
