Fixed Term Contract

Part-time (January - August 2024)

• To assist the Head Coach in the coaching of the AVIS Magic
• To support the Head Coach in the planning and implementation of the AVIS Magic 2024 campaign
• To contribute to the success of the AVIS Magic both on and off the court

The AVIS Magic compete in one of the world's most highly contested netball competitions, the ANZ Premiership, where we proudly represent the Waikato Bay or Plenty region.

In partnership with Netball New Zealand, AVIS Magic are seeking to appoint an Assistant Coach to assist and support the Head Coach in planning, implementing, and leading the AVIS Magic campaign in 2024.  This will entail cohesive support and assistance to the Head Coach and players, ultimately resulting in a successful campaign.

The successful applicant will have extensive netball coaching experience ideally including within the high-performance environment.  They will have strong people management and interpersonal skills that generate mutual respect and trust and can communicate strategies, inspire, and ensure 'buy in' from the wider team.

Applicants should be self-motivated, action oriented, dynamic, and agile and be empathetic to the challenges of high-performance environments.  The successful applicant will have real strength of character and will actively seek to continuously improve themselves and the environment that they work in.

This position is part-time (up to 14 hours per week excluding matches) fixed term contract - recruited in partnership with Netball New Zealand and will involve involvement and engagement with both organisations.

Location - Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.
