The Opportunity

As our HR / Office Coordinator, you will contribute to the efficient operations of the Netball Queensland office ensuring it reflects a professional image and standard.  As a first point of contact for our netball community you will provide customer service and administrative responsibilities with outstanding professionalism.

Reporting to the People and Capability Manager, you will also provide timely and accurate HR generalist operational support across the full spectrum of HR activities at Netball Queensland.  You will have an ability to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure best practice people management is maintained throughout the employee life cycle.  In this true generalist role, you will provide a range of operational support and assistance.

Responsibilities

Office Coordinator

  • Welcome visitors to the Netball Queensland office
  • Answer incoming calls and handle general enquiries and complaints
  • Ensure the receipt and processing of incoming and outgoing mail including couriers
  • Monitor adequate office supplies including stationery, photocopier and kitchen
  • Provide support to the Executive Officer to coordinate booking travel, accommodation and car hire for staff, Directors and key stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of Executive functions such as the AGM, Board meetings etc
  • Other general administration and support as directed

 

HR Coordinator

  • Coordinate and work with the hiring manager and the People and Capability Manager to facilitate recruitment and selection
  • Prepare for new starter commencement and coordinate all administrative aspects of onboarding
  • Coordinate all administrative aspects of employee departures
  • Monitor, order and issue IT equipment and liaise with Netball Queensland's external IT support provider
  • Support the implementation of Netball Queensland's new HRIS - Employment Hero
  • Mange Blue Card and First Aid compliance
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff regarding HR policies, procedures, activities and issues
  • Support the People and Capability Manager to prioritise workflow and ensure achievement of deadlines
  • Work closely with the People and Capability Manager to deliver planned people initiatives that enhance employee performance, engagement and retention
  • Assist with any projects as required

 

Who are you?

With excellent written and verbal communication skills you are well-presented with a helpful manner and the ability to build strong relationships with your co-workers.

Experience in a similar role in a fast paced and collaborative environment is a must. Tertiary qualifications in HRM/ Business, although not essential, will be viewed favourably as will your relevant generalist HR experience.

You are a team player with a positive and encouraging attitude to work and work relationships who is eager to learn and motivated to achieve goals.

You contribute innovative thinking for a continual improvement approach and have unwavering integrity and commitment to confidentiality.

Your advanced understanding and application of the Microsoft Office applications will be of prime importance as will attention to detail and accuracy in your work.

Other Information

You must hold a Working with Children (Blue) Card or be able to obtain one as soon as possible, and before commencing employment with Netball Queensland.
