Job responsibilities
As the Venue General Manager, you will work closely with the Venue Operations Senior Manager, New Zealand to ensure that the stadium is presented in accordance with the FIFA Hosting Requirements and will take the lead on the successful operational delivery of all FWWC2023 football matches and non-match day activities at the stadium.
This position has a coordinating, facilitating, arbitrating and management role at the Stadium and is ultimately responsible together with the Venue Operations Senior Manager and Head of Operations for the event planning at the venue, the preparation for operational readiness and the on-site implementation, in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

Your role as Venue General Manager includes the following responsibilities:
Qualifications & experience
You will have a minimum 6 years of management experience in stadium operations for professional sports clubs and/or venue management in the organization of major sporting events. You will also have a strong knowledge of event planning and event project management processes. Experience or knowledge of the stadium will be an added benefit.
Skills
This position requires a person to have strong administrative and IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the capacity to make key decisions for the business through critical problem-solving skills and an ability to use sound judgement. You will also have the ability to cope in an international, demanding and changing environment and be able to adapt and work well with people of other cultures and backgrounds.
