The New Zealand Olympic Committee represents the Olympic Movement in New Zealand. We hold the unique mandate to select and send teams to Olympic Games and to promote the Olympic brand and values, a role that has been held for more than 100 years.

We are also responsible for the delivery of the Commonwealth Games.

Our aim is to inspire excellence and pride in New Zealanders and enable our athletes to achieve on the world's stage.

Games-time performance planning, operations and leadership are our primary focus. We also lead and advocate for sport and athletes and use our international connections to deliver value to New Zealand.

We are heavily reliant on partnerships for funding and are not-for-profit. We operate with integrity and are athlete-focussed.  The New Zealand Olympic Committee works closely with Sport NZ and HPSNZ.

BOARD MEMBER VACANCY

The New Zealand Olympic Committee currently have a Board vacancy, with current Board Member Graham Child looking to re-stand for a further term.

This is an opportunity to contribute your strategic, commercial and governance skills to our inspiring, high profile and hard-working organisation. In particular, we are seeking expertise in finance and risk management, along with commercial acumen and significant governance experience.

Most importantly, you will be a hard-working, committed team player, checking your ego at the door. The successful candidates will bring a passion for everything that the Olympic Movement represents and will embrace and champion our team culture of Manaaki.
