In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of the Centre, delivering outstanding customer service to a diverse range of visitors. You'll support the smooth delivery of programmes and events by setting up and packing down equipment, maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented facility environment, and provide accurate information about our services while responding to customer feedback. You'll also carry out administrative tasks such as bookings, enrolments, and payments.
We're looking for someone who is a natural people person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll enjoy physical work and take pride in presentation and teamwork. You'll be a reliable team player who can also work independently and take initiative. Previous experience in customer service or recreation is a bonus, but not essential.
This permanent part-time role is for the following shifts:
Monday - 2:00pm to 10.30pm
Saturday - 6.30am to 2:00pm
As an important part of the Centre staff, you will contribute to smooth operation of Ākau Tangi Sports Centre's reputation of being a high quality playing and training facility for a wide range of indoor sports and activities for sports organisations, schools and communities. The facility is open from 6:00am - 10:00pm weekdays, and 7:00am - 10:00pm weekends seven days.
